Dr. Obed Magny has over 16 years of experience in policing. His experiences include patrol, professional standards unit, and school resource officer.
Dr. Magny has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Master's degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership.
Dr. Magny is a Founder of the 54th Mile Policing Project. He is also a Co-Founder and Executive Board member of the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing and a Policing Fellow at the Police Foundation. He was awarded a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) scholarship in 2016.
